We're Home!

We were able to take Wyatt home on Friday around noon. So far things have been going well. We're trying to catch as much sleep when he naps as we can. He's still got his days and nights mixed up, but were able to get a reasonable amount of sleep last night. We're enjoying getting to know each other and Heidi is recovering well from the c-section. Enjoy the pics and the short video.

He's Here!!!

After nearly 24 hours in the hospital, 4 hours pushing, and an eventual C-section Heidi gave birth to beautiful baby boy. Mother and baby are doing great and should be able to go home on Friday or Saturday. I just stopped home for a quick shower and more clothes. The crucial stats are below...

Name: Wyatt Robert
Born on: January 16, 10:08 AM
Weight: 9lbs
Length: 20"

Enjoy the pics...I'm going back to the hospital and hold my son.

No news yet

Nothing new to report yet...

Heidi is understandably uncomfortable. We had a prenatal appointment on Friday in which Heidi described her overall condition and symptoms to the doctor. The doctor said it could be the early signs of labor or it could be 3 weeks before anything could happen. Apparently the baby hasn't read the statistical and textbook descriptions of labor and childbirth that we have. I also don't believe the baby understands how impatient the rest of us are to meet her/him.

Hopefully my next post will be a picture and stats of the baby or it could be yet another picture of the nursery and a statement that there's nothing new to report yet. We'll just sit here and watch more reruns of Mythbusters or MacGyver until the baby is ready.

Getting closer

The belly keeps getting bigger, but the rest of her has stayed pretty much the same. It's an odd thing to watch from the outside. It feels like I'm trying to keep up with a little extra daddy weight too. Extra time for exercise seems to slip away more easily. I guess that will continue.

January 23, WOW, it's really close now. One of the next posts should be us with our new family member.

I'm a little nervous and can't wait all at the same time. Mostly though I hope the baby doesn't get my ears.
