Wyatt at 6 months

Our little peanut who would curl up on my or Daddy's chest and fall asleep has outgrown that phase months ago. Now he is a sprawling, wiggly baby boy who can't get enough of what's going on around him. My goodness how quickly time flies.

Wyatt has been a pretty good traveller for us this past month. He has logged miles to SD, ND, WI, (and SD again) and enjoyed getting to meet more family and friends along the way (Hi everyone!). He hasn't gotten to meet everyone we'd like, but we have resigned ourselves to the fact that we just can't make it to everything.

Wyatt is now approximately 19.5-20 lbs and 28" or so long. He's been well-behaved considering the heat, teething, and passing around he's had - but he's more than willing to scream his displeasure when he's had enough, or is hungry or tired. He's got a touch of separation anxiety, but it is really only prevalent when he's getting tired. He's not crawling yet, but is starting to get it figured out...and Mommy and Daddy are in no hurry for that stage.

Here is some more on Wyatt at 6 months:

Likes: Books, the Jumperoo, the colors yellow and red, bathtime, his wading pool, peek-a-boo, and (so far) all of the fruits and veggies he's tried
Dislikes: Being cooped up in his carseat for too long, shots, Ritz crackers (see below)
Hobbies: Rolling/worming/scooting around, throwing things on the ground and watching Mommy or Daddy pick them back up (again and again...), pulling hair, tearing up napkins, grabbing anything he can get his little fingers on
Milestones: Sitting up like a big boy; Cut his first tooth this weekend; figured out that sippy cup!
Such a big boy

Check it out...he's growing his hair back!

Wyatt's first bite of cracker was promptly spit out

He's a jumping fool!

I love the pic of Wyatt and the cracker. He looks like he's ready to fight it!

Ahhh, tearing up napkins. What a cool hobby, especially the work it creates for mom and dad.

It's great to hear from you guys, read the write-ups and see pics of Wyatt. There's nothin' quite like having a kid, huh?

Later,
Aaron
